GARAGE TOURS:
Uncle Micks Place

Cont'd from Page 1

OK back to the cars. His newest car is a 1963, that tells you a lot. He currently has 4 cars and thankfully only one of them is a "project". That project is a 1954 Chevy (FOR SALE) and it takes up the coveted spot in the garage. In the backyard tent he has the "award winning" 1963 Falcon Convertible. I have teased him that the award he won was for breaking down four times during one poker run, but I have been at car shows where he has won "Best Ford". Next to that is his "Daily Driver", a 1963 Ford Falcon Ranchero, which is the last of three he owned at one time.

Rounding out his collection is a 1963 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass.
He started with a 1930 Dodge Cabriolet, with a rumble seat that he paid $25 bucks for back in 1949. He’s had a 1936 Chevrolet that he completely disassembled and rebuilt. He’s owned the 1949 Hudson that he sold to Lowell, which now shows up at Hot Rods at the Beach with a Blower sticking out of the hood. 1947 and 1956 Chevrolets round out the list of previous cars. He spent his life as a Trucker, so I know he has driven some newer vehicles.

Mick is a man who along with all his other accomplishments in life has never lost the lifestyle of the custom automobile, may the breed never die.

I see ya at the next event whether it’s Hot Rods or Harleys.
