Great Show on the Beach to Benefit The Santa Cruz Police
Officers Industrial Arts Scholorship

Music was furnished by a mobile DJ that cranked out the
hits of the 50’s and 60’s. There is something
that just fits when you hear "Little Deuce Coupe"
while looking at one.
This
charity event supports a Industrial Arts, raising $10,000
a year and gives out $1500 scholarships that are normally
followed up with another $1000 scholarship on the second
year. I know of one such young man that is putting his to
good use at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Arizona.
He’s on his way to being another "Car Guy".
In
2001 this event was one month after the tragedy now referred
to as 9/11, over $20,000 in donations from that event was
donated to the Silver Shield Foundation. This is truly a
great community event hosted by The Santa Cruz Police Officers
Association and receives many donations from local merchants.
