Weather this year could not have been better!!! Im
talking about NO FOG and temps in the 80s in the afternoon.
My gal, Miss Laurie got a little sunburn on her nose. HAHA
LAPD had their Drag car there sporting 2,000 horsepower.
They enjoyed firing it up and shaking the sternums of the
Fans.
One
guy had a bumper car that he ran with an inverter and he
was having a blast rolling up and down the isles doing donuts
and grinning from ear to ear. It was kinda noisy as he was
still running on the casters and not rubber wheels. Too
much fun!
This
year as in every year there were lots of cars that were
still under construction, which I love to see because I
still have the 71 Sub under construction. Plus you get to
see vehicles in a raw form. One guy I know said he aint
never going to paint his because it would ruin the classic
"Old School" look of his three cars that are engineering
masterpieces. Im talking about a Hudson with a HUGE
blower sticking out of the hood, or his Studebaker with
a matching HUGE Blower. At home he has a twin-350 powered
sedan with both engines running these HUGE blowers. The
Owners, Lowell and Betty got them right where they like
them, ready to race, with no time wasted on polishin
em.
