The 12th East African Safari was held on march 26th to 30th 1964. It ran 3,188 miles with 94 cars at the start and only 21 finished. This car is a reproduction of the #73 Comet Caliente driven by Ray Brock and built by Bill Stroppe of Long Beach as a tribute to Ray Brock and Uncle Don Francisco by Rays daughter. Two of the original ten cars are survived. 289 HIPO 271 hp V8.
