Queens Unite!
Beautiful
as they are sculptures of steel, rubber, glass
and paint these beasts barely drive. I bet the
crowd put more miles on their shoes walkin the
event than all these cars combined!
For
God's sake, what am I to expect? It's the Grand
National Roadster Show. The Almighty custom
car showcase in the freakin' WORLD. And on this
bright mid-winter Sunny Southern California
day I take the bike out to a car-show!
It
was a good variety of rods, customs, classics,
bikes, and specialty vehicles. A lot of interesting
vendors at the show too. From mom&pop polish
companies to the several semi's of Meguiars.
If
you are interested in 32 roadster, then this
is your place. My informal study showed about
half the cars there were 29-35 roadsters, coupes
or buckets. I was looking for the offbeat, different
ride out there. Check out the pics, I am posting
almost 100 pics from the several hundred I took.
They are in no particular order, just as I took
them. I must say I am not a big fan of in-door
shows. There are too many lights blinging off
the chrome and paint that it distracts the eye.
The ropes around the cars made it clear these
cars are not touched. and the ropes get in the
way. Some cars had there own 30x30 space which
gave plenty of room around the car but we are
kept at a great distance.
Enjoy
the pics, but most importantly get out there
and enjoy the road. The road that most of these
cars never see.
